With Oura being the most well-known brand, the market for smart rings is mostly untapped. These more recent varieties of wearable technology may one day replace fitness bands and smartwatches. According to different trademark applications, Samsung has apparently been working on a smart ring, which has been mentioned in the headlines. Many of the smart rings on the market are only available in a few places. Only Ultrahuman sells a smart ring in India. With the formal release of its smart ring by domestic brand boAt, this is about to change. Continue reading to learn more about it.

The smart ring from boAt was first introduced last month. However, we now have formal information about this new wearable technology. With capabilities currently found on smartwatches and fitness trackers, it hopes to revolutionize wearable tracking. For those who prefer traditional watches to a smart gadget on their wrist to track their health parameters, smart rings may be a decent substitute.

For strength and excellent appearance, the boAt Smart Ring has a ceramic and metal unibody. Up to 5 meters of water cannot penetrate it. Several sensors are housed on the ring’s inner surface. On the other hand, the ring’s upper surface has sophisticated touch capabilities that let users connect and navigate compatible devices using swipes. Users may navigate programs, control music playback, and take pictures by pressing the camera’s shutter.

The boAt Smart Ring has 6-axis motion sensors to track one’s health. It has features that are typically seen on other wearables, such as a heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep tracker, and a menstrual cycle monitor for women. The smart ring includes a body temperature monitor that can take the user’s temperature automatically. The user’s recovery levels are tracked by a body recovery tracker, allowing them to exert more effort during their subsequent session. The system can monitor a variety of actions. Users of the boAt Ring app will gain insightful and in-depth knowledge through interactive statistics, trend mapping, and progress monitoring.

Emergency SOS is another feature of the boAt Smart Ring. On a full charge, it is reported to have a battery life of up to 7 days.

The cost of the boAt Smart Ring is Rs 8,999. It is available in three ring sizes: 7, 9, and 11, each having a diameter of 17.40, 19.15, and 20.85 mm. Starting on August 28, it will be sold on Amazon, Flipkart, and the company’s website.
