Rajinder Singh, the accused, was traveling from Dubai to Amritsar when he allegedly drank heavily and “molested” a crew member while intoxicated. Rajinder Singh, the suspect, was traveling on flight 6E 1428 from Dubai to Amritsar. When he arrived at the airport in Amritsar at 8 p.m. on Sunday (14/05/2023), he was immediately taken into custody.

The detained passenger, a citizen of Kotli village in Jalandhar, Punjab, is accused of consuming a large amount of alcohol during the flight. He mistreated a female staff worker while intoxicated. The personnel on the flight at the time handled the circumstances. After landing, the security manager reported the incident to the police. Police detained the suspect and are looking into the event. In the past few months, incidents of offensive behavior by passengers on flights have increased.

On an American Airlines aircraft between New York and New Delhi last month, an Indian man allegedly under the influence of alcohol urinated on another passenger following a heated exchange. A man named Shankar Mishra was accused of peeing on an elderly woman aboard an Air India flight while he was supposedly drunk in a case that made headlines in November last year. After being detained, he was given bail.
